USofA Pageants has been producing the finest in pageantry for the last 22 years. The USofA family has grown to include Miss Gay USofA, Miss Gay USofA at Large, Miss Gay USofA Classic and Mister USofA M.I. These contests represent the best of the best in the world of male and female impersonation. Each year, contestants from across the USofA compete in over 150 pageants leading up to the USofA National Pageants.

During this time, male entertainers, dancers, and live vocalists have been asking that we produce a pageant system that offers the same quality, integrity and opportunity for recognition to entertainers without requiring gender illusion.

We have listened to these requests. At this time, USofA Pageants is proud to announce the very first Mr. Gay USofA contest will be held on September 18-19, 2008 in San Antonio, TX. Preceding this contest, on September 17, we will be crowning the first ever, Mr. Gay USofA at Large, for competitors that weigh in at over 200 pounds.

USofA Pageants is pleased to appoint Craig Henderson as the National Promoter for both of these systems. Craig is the producer of the Mr. Gay Texas contest and has grown it to be the largest franchised pageant system in the country for male entertainers. In 2007, 28 men competed at the state contest after qualifying at local preliminaries across Texas. Mr. Gay Texas will now become an official preliminary to the Mr. Gay USofA contest.

Franchises are now available across the country for preliminaries to both Mr. Gay USofA and Mr. Gay USofA at Large. In addition, for 2008 only, contestants may enter the Mr. Gay USofA and Mr. Gay USofA at Large national contests as open entries without competing in a preliminary pageant. As with all of the USofA Pageants systems, there are no appointments to titles.
